When asking for clearance you should state: Flight Number, Gate, and ATIS information.
Example: Good day Bogotá clearance, AVA9207 at F5 request IFR clearance to Cali with information Bravo. (It is highly recommended that you contact SKBO_DEL at least 15 minutes before your assigned slot time). The clearance will consist of a SID, initial and final FL or Altitude, runway for departure and a squawk code. It is mandatory for all aircraft to read back the clearance. After receiving the clearance, you will be transferred with El Dorado Ground who will then issue you the taxi clearance via specific taxiways (Keep the ground charts handy).

Arrivals
When flying inbound to Bogotá, you will be transferred to SKBO_S_APP if arriving from the south, or SKBO_N_APP if arriving from the north. Then, you will be transferred to SKBO_C_APP for the final approach.
The transfer to SKBO_C_APP will occur over, or close to UTICA, MQU or ABL. Expect speed reduction. If there are high loads of traffic in approach, expect holdings over these three points. SKBO_C_APP will clear you for the ILS RWY 13L or ILS RWY 13R approach and then transfer you to SKBO_S_TWR or SKBO_N_TWR near, or over BOG.
Once you have landed, vacate runway as soon as possible, contact SKBO_S_GND if landing on RWY 13R / 31L or SKBO_N_GND if landing on RWY 13L / 31R, and wait for your taxi clearance.

Flight Planning
All pilots must follow the routes from the route database to avoid any delays and conflicts. All the plans have been updated in Flight booking/plans. Maintain the slot time given to you for pushback/startup. Expect a lot of traffic so carry extra fuel for holding. Log in at least 15mins prior to your slot time to be able to anticipate, for departures, time required for flight plan clearance and taxi.

Other Important information
- If you are parked at any of the National/International gates remember the push back always have to be done up to taxiway D. If you are at any remote stand, this is not necessary.
- When taxiing to any gate or to the runway, remember this configuration: taxi way S is always used from NORTH to SOUTH and taxi way R, that is parallel to S, is always used from SOUTH to NORTH.
- The Puente Aéreo Terminal is only used by AVIANCA for domestic flights.
- They are two similar cargo ramps. One in the NORTH section of the airport and the other one in the SOUTH. The one in the north (between Puente Aéreo Terminal and Regional ramp) is for domestic cargo flights. The one in the south (besides taxiway N) is for International cargo flights with heavy planes.
