Kathmandu - Lukla Air Bridge

"Lukla has been closed for 21 solid days because of clouds and high winds and it is the start of the Mount Everest climbing season. At least 7 expeditions are waiting at Kathmandu. Tons of equipment are waiting in the hangars of the airport. The Met office just told everybody there will be a 6 hour weather window and small turbines are flying in from all over the region to make use of these hours. As small turbine transporters are flying into the area to make some serious money (of course price per ton is now as high as the mountains are), complex discussions are going on with the two controllers at Lukla. There are only six stands on the airport and one as we all know getting to and from the airport is a rather complex task. Although weather should be clear there will still be strong winds to make it even more complex."

The Mission

Your mission is to transport as much cargo as possible from Kathmandu to Lukla within the six hour window provided. Air Traffic Control services will be provided at Kathmandu and at Lukla. Also, aircraft types will be limited and your weight/balance sheet will be checked at Lukla to ensure accuracy.

The Stake

The team or individual who transports the greatest amount of cargo to Lukla will receive 10 FREE DOWNLOAD PRODUCTS courtesy of Aerosoft. The second place team will receive nine download products, etc, all the way to 10th place who will receive one product. Complete details are available in the rules.
