Rules and Guidelines for Writing Software for the IVAO network
When writing software for the IVAO network, the product should comply to the
following rules and guidelines:
- The author(s) of the software should contact the Network Administrator before starting their development.
The email should contain a brief description of the software project, a short CV of the author(s) and a
motivation. If no agreement with the Network Administrator is reached, the software will not be allowed on the
IVAO network.
- The author(s) is required to supply beta version(s) of the software to the Network Administrator.
- Before the final release of the software, the author(s) should contact the Network Administrator
once again for a final approval of the software.
- During this process, the Network Administrator might ask the source code of the program for a source
code review. This is to ensure the program does not do any harm to the IVAO network or collect any personal
data of IVAO Members. This source code is treated in a confidential way.
Rules and Guidelines for Writing Addons for IVAO Software
When writing addons for IVAO Software, the product should comply to the
following rules and guidelines:
- The author(s) of the software should contact the Software Development Director before starting their
development. The email should contain a brief description of the software project, a
short CV of the author(s) and a motivation. If no agreement with the Software Development
Director is reached, the software will not be allowed on the IVAO network as addon.
- The author(s) is required to supply beta version(s) of the software to the Software Development Team.
- Before the final release of the software, the author(s) should contact the
Software Development Director once again for a final approval of the software.
- During this process, the Software Development Department might ask the source code of the program for a source
code review. This is to ensure the program does not do any harm to the IVAO network or collect any personal
data of IVAO Members. This source code is treated in a confidential way.
