17:00 - [AT] Salzburg New Runway Celebration - LOWS FlyIN
Dear Community,
for almost 60 (!) years the old runway was in use at Salzburg. During the last 5 weeks no aircraft arrived or departed, because the runway got refurbished completly and for that the airport has been closed.
Through extensive construction work the old apshalt was removed, multiple asphaltlayers were tarred, new lamps were placed and finally the new runway markings were applied.
The airport reopened as planned on the weekend of the 29th of May.
As you are surly aware of, craneplaces have to get removed. But also the asphalt should get weltered nicely ;D
To find out if everything worked out and the new runway is strong enough for your aircraft, we want to light up the runway and reopen it with a celebration, and for that we dearly invite all of you!
IFR, VFR, Y, Z Fixed Aircraft or Helicopters. Everything is welcome!
