13:00 - [HK] Remember Kai Tak, Revisit Checkerboard
What comes to your mind when we say landing at Kai Tak? The famous IGS 13 followed by a 47 degree turn? This time, we will bring the challenge to every pilots in IVAO. Enjoy the fascinating night view across the Victoria Harbour and the skyscrapers, but don't panic for that challenging runway 13 approach as you fly your heavy bird across old districts, imagining people waving at you from their rooftops. Finally, with the aid of the Checkerboard that acts as a visual reference, make an accurate sharp right turn and touch down at the runway. Show us your skills!
The whole event will be on 14 October 2017, from 1300z to 1600z.
