12:00 - [HK] Exploring Asia Series - Kaohsiung
The Hong Kong Division (HK) of IVAO is rolling out a new series of event: "Exploring Asia Series". This will be a routine event that happens twice a month. Departure from Hong Kong International Airport (VHHH) to the airport around Asia. Our first destination is Kaohsiung, a beautiful city in the southern part of Taiwan, also the second largest airport there. During the event, full staff ATC will be provided at both airports. Come join us, and explore the beauty of Asia!
The whole event will be on 7 January 2017, from 1200z to 1600z.

18:00 - [AT] Mega Fly-In Innsbruck
Hello pilots
once again we want to invite you to the Tyrolean capital to fill up the valley into Innsbruck with your aircraft.
All kind of traffic is welcome. A beautiful landscape, high mountains and a tricky approach are waiting for you
along with full ATC coverage down to FollowMe services.
But hold your horses. Before you jump into your aircraft make sure you got the charts handy.
Be aware LOWI is not just some 'push the button' procedure.
From experience a short briefing might be useful.
Most common mistakes are:
1. You can't approach Innsbruck at low altitudes. Make sure you maintain FL120 or more until in contact with approach
2. LOWI is not an ILS. Following the localizer to the end will lead you into some field on the wrong side of the river.
3. Departing RWY 26 is a more than 180° turn to the left that has to be flown by hand.
Using the autopilot will take you into a right turn that definitely will find it's end in the mountain's wall.
Keeping that in mind gives you a much better chance to suceed in one of the most challenging approaches, Europe has to offer.
