The US Division comes back for its new event : The Pacific Operations Day!

On April 28th, we invite you to fly over the Pacific:

-From 1200Z until 0000Z, Oakland Oceanic - KZAK_FSS will be open

-From 1900Z until 0000Z, Hawaii Center and Honolulu Airport will be fully staffed.



During this event, we recommend to you to fly the following trip:

-Los Angeles-Hawaii: KLAX-PHNL or PHNL-KLAX

-San Francisco-Hawaii: KSFO-PHNL or PHNL-KSFO

-Seattle-Hawaii: KSEA-PHNL or PHNL-KSEA

-Anchorage-Hawaii: PANC-PHNL or PHNL-PANC

Dear pilots,



we are happy to announce the celebration of a very important jubileum of our biggest international airport. Prague Ruzyne celebrated it's 75th birthday on April 5, 2012 so it is appropriate to make a wish. Flyin on this occasion is certainly an appropriate gift. Take your machine and plan your arrival to Prague. But to our grandmother Ruzyne not seem like in a different world, we move in a little time and this event will take a trip into history.





We believe that this type of event will be especially interesting to you, because you'll properly exercise your pilot art. Contemporary scenery will be prepared for you, so the fun is guaranteed. The scenery will appear on the site of the event later, so please check the web from time to time!



As for arrivals, they will be made as ILS approaches on runway 24 with circle-to-land on runway 22, or ILS approaches on runway 06 with circle-to-land on runway 04, depending on runway in use.



After landing on runway 22 there will be backtrack necessary for the bigger aircraft to be able to get to their stands. So for IFR flights you will practice circling and possibly the backtrack procedure.



For VFR flights will be placed even greater demands on your piloting skill, since for landing VFR aircraft taxiway P, which used to be runway 26/08 in history.
Landing distance available is 1200m, which is sufficient, however, given the fact that runway 26 has a threshold located directly on the runway 22, it will also be a little adrenaline.

Moreover, there are Terminal South buildings in the axis of runway 26, so the final descent is steeper.



Aviation Celebration Award will be given to all pilots who meet these requirements:



1. Perform at least 2 VFR departures and arrivals



2. Perform at least 1 IFR departure and arrival



3. Manage to fly the above without an accident caused by yourself.
